Theoretical-conceptual framework of a new conception for the training of teachers of Basic General Education (BGE) at UNAE, Ecuador

The article presents one of the results of an ongoing research project aimed at improving the process of teacher training for Basic General Education at the National University of Education, Ecuador. Its objective is to socialize the conceptual and theoretical bases that support the “should be” of this process, from a more appropriate conception to the new demands of higher education in the Ecuadorian context. Methodologically, the documentary review of important international and Ecuadorian theoretical referents and their systematization was used. This allowed us to provide as a result the theoretical-conceptual framework that supports the projected conception.
