This study aims to analyze the environmental knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of 87 first-cycle Basic Education students at the Center for Educational Research and Innovation (CIIE) in Gracias, Lempira. Using a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design, a 30-item KAP survey was applied through a census study. The results indicate that students demonstrate a high level of environmental knowledge (90%) and favorable attitudes (95%), as well as positive practices (90%), both at home and at school. However, weaknesses were identified in the management of household solid waste. The study concludes that environmental education has had a positive impact on developing an environmental culture at an early age. Nonetheless, it is recommended to strengthen family and community involvement through innovative pedagogical strategies, aiming to close the gap between knowledge and its practical application, and promote shared environmental responsibility.
