The need of evaluating the environmental education of the professional of the education at the university

The article presents the results of the implementation of a methodological alternative to evaluate the environmental education in the Education Biology – geography major, at the University of Matanzas. The alternative is sustained in theoretical – methodological foundations that bear in mind: the social character of the education, the necessary and unpostponable permanent environmental education of the teachers, and the methodological work as the main way to manage the quality of university professional training and the evaluation as improvement research. The obtained result verified its contribution to the development of this process and its impact in the quality of the professional education.
