Abstract

In the present article, the authors reflect on the role of education to face the diverse global challenges. Along these lines, the social and affective education as well as the importance of teacher training for answering to the request of professional training are tackled. It is shown the humanist tradition of Cuban education, in which the bases for teacher training in social and affective education according to now-a-days demands can be found.
