Abstract

The theme is the evaluation of quality in higher education, with particular reference to Latin America and Ecuador. The objective is to evaluate the current system that evaluates the quality of higher education in Ecuador. We have used a set of methods of theoretical essence that have allowed the critical analysis of various sources of information and parallel to this, the synthesis; the inductive-deductive method is also used, and the logical historical one. The result is the critical presentation of the quality pattern that is used in Ecuador and its potential to favor improvement.
