"Athens": from the dream of a magazine, to the printed heritage

Abstract

The bibliographical patrimony of the universities is the result of the heterogeneous academic, scientific activity and of extension that you/they have developed in it has to become these institutions. The University of Matanzas, it has generated a valuable bibliographical patrimony, where it occupies a special place the Magazine “Athens ". The rehearsal intends as objective: Value the importance of the first three numbers of the magazine Athens for the bibliographical patrimony of the University of Matanzas. To give answer to the outlined objective he/she was carried out a descriptive study, by means of in the historical-logical method, the bibliographical revision and the interview. He/she was carried out a revision of the three printed copies and a brief reference is presented to each published article, pondering this way the necessity to visit its pages. The numbers of valued Athens constitute true jewels of the bibliographical patrimony of the University of Matanzas; in it influences it in a decisive way the valuable information contained in their 25 works and 270 pages; that they reflect the results of the scientific work of outstanding professionals, in the most diverse branches in the knowledge.
