THE TEACHING OF HUMANITIES IN THE PEDAGOGICAL THINKING OF JUAN MARINELLO

The paper presents the contribution Juan Marinello made to the teaching of humanities, his particular permanence in Cuban education in the 21st century, focused on a pertinent, scientific, humanist, laical, and deeply nationalist education from the universal tradition. The meaning of Juan Marinello´s contribution is in a corpus of ideas and concepts which offers teachers of Humanities tools and ways to propitiate a comprehensive culture in students translated in high moral values and a deep involvement with the social project we are constructing.
