Participation of the educational community in the construction of the institutional curriculum

The following article deals with the participation of the educational community in the construction of the institutional curriculum. Aspects related to educational participation are taken as references, specifically the construction of the curriculum as an area of participation in the school. The study is carried out in the Olof Palme secondary school belonging to the municipality of La Lisa, in the province of Havana, as it is one of the experimental educational institutions of the Third Improvement of the National Education System. The objective that arises is to analyze the participation of the educational community in the construction of the institutional curriculum. The research is descriptive - analytical and responds to the qualitative paradigm, by enabling the holistic analysis of the educational reality. The results express a formal participation of the educational actors in the construction of their curriculum, which reveals the need to produce a deep unlearning of the practices that do not favor the democratic and participatory direction that the school requires for the construction of the institutional curriculum, from the articulation and involvement of educational actors.
