Model for the development of formative research in teacher training at UNAE

The article aims to socialize the results of a research task of the research project "Epistemic beliefs and emotions that education students experience when producing academic texts", related to the development of a theoretical-methodological model to direct formative research processes. in educational research in the Basic Education Career of the UNAE and, correspondingly, present the model, prepared in accordance with the theoretical-referential base analyzed, the guidelines established by the Council of Higher Education of Ecuador, as well as with the Pedagogical Model, the institutional Philosophy and the career documents. The methods used were documentary review, content analysis and a focus group with the participation of Research and Academic Writing teachers of said career. As a result, a reference model was achieved that has constituted a stimulus for the development of other projects and is currently implemented in practice. It is concluded that the model considers the duty of formative research in educational research, in correspondence with the assumed theoretical references and the rest of the referred criteria.
