Abstract

The search for promoting strategies for the comprehensive training of the new generations of teachers through the didactic use of the content of the curriculum is one of the pressing challenges of the university cloisters. By virtue of this, the present article aims to: systematize the experiences of the Service Learning projects carried out by the students of the Early Childhood Education career of the Catholic University of Temuco (Chile) as a strategy for the study of educational reality, of identification with it and of transformation from the integration of knowledge and competences, in coherence with the graduate profile. For this purpose, a predominantly qualitative methodology was used, and basically the documentary analysis method, from the perspective of the systematization of experiences; in addition, others of theoretical level such as: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and transition from the abstract to the concrete. The study made it possible to identify strengths and weaknesses in the use of the Service Learning strategy, as well as continuity actions that become an input for the curricular reaccreditation and updating processes. The conclusions refer to the actions of continuity of the result and future research edges.
