The objective of this article was to implement an innovative visual teaching resource called “Kit Glo Germ”, based on fluorescence, during the hand washing technique, complementing traditional resources to strengthen student learning in the retention and transfer of this knowledge. three-dimensional in fourth-year students of Medical Technology with a mention in Imaging and Medical Physics belonging to the Andrés Bello University, Chile. This descriptive, qualitative article, with a research-action design, was carried out in a homogeneous sample of 16 students, which coincides with the total universe of fourth-year Medical Technology students, to whom a comparison guideline and performance rubric as observation instruments and a satisfaction survey as an information collection technique. After its implementation, 68.75% of students correctly executed the handwashing technique, compared to 25% initially. A satisfaction survey showed that the Kit improved students' memorization and technique. In conclusion, the "Glo Germ Kit" strengthened the learning and retention of the correct handwashing technique among participants, complementing traditional teaching.
