Abstract

We will present the pedagogical experience posed by a project for the development of teaching material for teachers in training, adapted for the new learning needs of poetry, taking into consideration the purpose of enabling the understanding of poetic texts, limited to texts written after 1950 in Mexico. It is aimed at  Normalist students in the following degrees: Preschool, Elementary and Junior Highschool who are specializing in Spanish. The methodology focuses on three key areas: the historical, analytical and training in poetry. We promote the reading and writing of poetry with a selection of poems that will impact the culture of literary appreciation.
