Abstract

This article presents part of the research results: Characterization of the processes of understanding and production of texts in students of the Faculty of Virtual Education Distance of the Minute of God University Corporation headquarters Bello, Colombia, aimed at characterizing the processes of understanding and producing texts of students, in the different programs of the Faculty of Virtual and Distance Education. This Research is predominantly qualitative from the action research approach. This article presents the results of the reading and writing test that was applied and that gave account of the comprehension and production performances of the students attached to the Faculty. The application of the instrument reveals the deficiencies existing in the comprehension performances of the students evaluated in the different academic programs of the Faculty of Virtual Distance Education. The main findings show, the needs that students present in the process reading comprehension of various textual typologies.
