Abstract

It is now required that students acquire meaningful learning. To get this is necessary to teach statistics through real-life examples. This work is a contribution to the Mvududu and Kanyongo, (2011)4, in response to efforts to accomplish the teaching of statistics and data based on an understanding of the concepts and not only in meaningless formulas. This article presents an example in context of teaching - learning of the linear correlation coefficient, for students of elementary statistics.
