Abstract

Morpho-physiological studies occupy a central position in the sciences applied to Physical Education and Sport. In order to determine the relationships between morpho-physiological indicators and the results of physical performance tests in schoolchildren. In the quantitative study, 30 male students were determined: decimal age, weight and body size, following the procedures of the ISAK (De Ross et al., 2003), weights and percentages of body mass active and body fat, body mass index (Malina, 2018), lactacid anaerobic energy capacity (Flanagan, 2022) and aerobic energy capacity (James et al, 2021). Physical performance was assessed by means of the long jump, the speed in 30 meters, the cardiorespiratory resistance in the distance of 400 meters and the resistance to muscular strength of the trunk. Spearman correlations (P < 0.05 to P < 0.001) were found between some morphophysiological indicators and physical performance results. The indicators that were significantly associated with physical performance should be considered for the organization, planning, development of Physical Education classes and for the selection of sports talents.
