Importance of specific content in the comprehensive training of university students in Mexico

Abstract

It is assumed from the theoretical and empirical conception of the author of this research; that comprehensive training in university students in Mexico lies in the integration and updating of content in the curricular map or, where appropriate, developing and training in parallel and extracurricular ways, content that improves personal and professional performance. It is of interest to specify the objectives of this research, which refer to the need to identify the status of skills and professionals, the humanistic, ethical and social aspect, as elements that influence the comprehensive training of students of the 9th Semester of the Universidad del Caribe de México in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P. Mexico. The methods used were theoretical and empirical, supported by the “Wheel of Life” instrument, yielding 46.67% satisfaction corresponding to the variable of professional capabilities, humanistic, cultural, ethical, economic and social aspects, in Education careers, Business Administration and a Bachelor of Laws. Based on the findings, it is concluded that it is urgent to integrate specific contents into the curricular map, basic aspects of specialization, training and values, to strengthen the skills, capabilities in the professional field of the students of the Universidad del Caribe of Mexico, located in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
