Abstract

The objective of this research was to validate, through expert judgment and a pilot test, an instrument that analyzes and determines teachers' beliefs about the teaching and learning processes of Natural Sciences. The study was carried out in three phases that include the construction of the evaluation instrument, the determination of content validity through expert judgment and the evaluation of reliability. As main results, the experts made suggestions for wording, relevance and importance, and the elimination of 7 items. Comprehension of instructions and items was at an excellent to acceptable level. Finally, an optimal reliability value was obtained (Cronbach's Alpha 0.808). It is concluded that the aspects that constitute the instrument have an adequate structure and coherence.
