Sensory Integration in Children with Attention Deficit Syndrome in Chilean Public Schools

Abstract

This study, of a quantitative, explanatory and descriptive type, reports on the Sensory Integration Profile (SI) of children with attention disorders (ADHD), also if there are differences between children with different ADHD modalities according to predominance. "Impulsive" - ​​"Inattentive" and visualize if there are differences according to gender, using standardized and validated tests in Chile (D2 to value predominance of ADHD and EPS to evaluate Sensorial Integration); the results; Children who have ADHD in large percentage, present alteration of the Sensory Integration Profile. In relation to modalities: "Impulsive" - ​​"Inattentive" there is no relationship between Sensory Integration and type of neglect. About IS and gender, they show that if there would be a difference being the female variable, who has a higher prevalence of sensory dysfunction.
