The aim of this study was to analyze students’ perceptions of University Social Responsibility (USR) at a public university in southern Sonora, considering the formative, cognitive, organizational, and social impacts. This quantitative research employed an exploratory-descriptive design, applying a validated questionnaire to 100 undergraduate students. The results highlight positive perceptions regarding gender equity, freedom of expression, and ethical education, while weaknesses were identified in campus sustainability, participation in community projects, and engagement with external stakeholders. The formative dimension received the highest evaluation, reflecting progress in students’ integral education, in contrast to the social and organizational impacts, wich revealed areas of improvement. It is concluded that it is necessary to strenghten strategies for social outreach, sustainability, and student participation in order to consolidate the university’s role as a transformative agent in its context.
